Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery

• The dashboard has been redesigned to put your statistics and graphs front and centre. The setup guide has been simplified, banners can be dismissed unless they require your attention, and a new feature card highlights useful settings.

• A new setting lets you correct the fulfilment location in Shopify when the order is created, rather when it is marked as fulfilled. You can find it in your pickup and delivery settings, in the Order processing section.

• Merchants using rates with carrier-calculated shipping can now set different rates based on customer tags.

• The SMS usage banner no longer appears for stores that do not use SMS notifications, preventing unnecessary warnings.

• An issue where a comma entered in a rate value instead of a full stop could cause issues generating rates has been resolved, and rates are now handled correctly whichever decimal separator is used.

• We've fixed an issue where some stores could unexpectedly find their widget had stopped working or be prompted to select a plan again.

Zapiet Eats

• You can now display a badge on unpaid orders in the order summary, which is automatically removed when an order is marked as paid. The feature is disabled by default and can be enabled in Settings > Developers.

• Printed orders now include the payment status.

• Menu sections can now be shown as horizontal buttons on the order page instead of a dropdown, with each button displaying the menu name and its available times. You can find this option in Settings > Widget settings > Menu selector style.

• A "Select All" option has been added back to the location export feature.

• Restaurant on the Ordering page no longer show a "no published menu" message when a menu is viewed outside its scheduled hours. The menu now loads correctly and its opening hours are shown instead.

• Apartment, suite, and unit details entered in the widget are now carried through to checkout when customers choose their own delivery location, preventing an issue with incomplete delivery addresses.

• We've fixed an issue where the widget location search could briefly flicker before showing validation messages.

Improvements

• The Orders page has been updated to improve readability. Completed orders now use a simplified layout, making it easier to scan past old orders while keeping detailed information available for open orders.

• Zapiet Eats now supports Shopify Sidekick, helping merchants quickly find settings and information within the app.

• Restaurants have been renamed to Locations throughout the app to better support a wider range of businesses.

• You can now drag and drop products between menu sections. Previously, moving a product meant removing it and adding it again. Now you can drag an item over another section, which expands so you can drop it in and save.

• When printing an order, customisation and add-on fees are now combined into the order total rather than shown as a separate item customisation line, giving a clearer single total on your printed tickets.

Bug fixes

• The order notification toggle now stays enabled after the page is refreshed.

• Customer detail labels on the legacy widget are no longer clipped at the top when a field is focused or filled in.

Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery

• Postal code validation at checkout now offers a routing option for multi-location stores: when a customer's postal code matches a different location, they are automatically shown that location's delivery rates. Existing stores keep their current behavior unless you switch to the new mode.

• Opening an order from the dashboard no longer flickers, as the order details were loading twice and now load once.

• When creating a draft or manual order, the delivery time selector previously defaulted to a fixed 11:30am to 12:00pm slot and stayed locked on it, forcing staff to remove it manually each time. You can now configure delivery time slots for the draft order edit modal even when the storefront delivery time picker is turned off, so any available time can be selected directly.

Zapiet - Product Options

• Option groups now load fully when opened, instead of occasionally showing blank options, names, products, and availability until the page is refreshed.

• Custom CSS settings now load and save correctly in the code editor.

Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code

The AI zone setup now respects your store's matching mode, creating zones with the correct postal code format instead of adding unnecessary wildcards, and is more accurate when interpreting the postal code ranges you ask for.

Zapiet - Rates by Distance

Rate calculations are now noticeably faster at checkout following a performance overhaul of how rates are processed.

Improvements

• The dashboard and orders pages now load faster, giving you a smoother experience when managing your store.

• When only one fulfillment method is enabled, it is now shown on the order page, so customers can clearly see how their order will be handled.

Bug fixes

• The map drawing tools for creating custom delivery zones have been restored following a change to the Google Maps API.

• An error that could occur when configuring delivery zones has been resolved.

• Percentage-based delivery fees now calculate correctly on the ordering page.

• Sign-up promotion discounts are now correctly applied on the order form.

• Daily inventory now works as expected on restaurant menus.

• Menus with a large number of items now sync reliably, resolving an error that occurred when a menu exceeded Shopify's processing limits.

• When metaobject permissions have not been granted, syncing now continues without error instead of failing.

Improvements

• When creating a menu, you can use the new Generate with AI button to automatically build a complete menu in seconds. It reads your Shopify catalogue and organises food and drink items into sections, and if your products have not yet been imported, they will be imported automatically.

• You can now adjust the volume of new order notifications and choose how many times they repeat, helping ensure notifications are not missed.

Bug fixes

• Menus configured for specific dates of the year were incorrectly displaying days of the week. This has been fixed and only the selected dates will be shown.

• Customers cannot adjust their location on the Ordering page, so this setting is now hidden to prevent confusion.

• Add-on charges from product options and bundles are now included when calculating minimum order values, allowing customers who reach the threshold through add-ons to check out as expected.

• The link-to-restaurant banner no longer appears on the Menus page once a menu has already been linked to a restaurant, reducing unnecessary prompts.

• The setup guide has been made more reliable. It now updates as soon as an imported restaurant is detected, remains expanded until all steps are completed, and will not mark itself as complete until permissions have been accepted.

Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery

• SMS notification settings now show a character count and how many message segments will be sent, so you can keep messages concise and manage your SMS costs. The count is approximate, as it depends on the attribute values you include.

• Dashboard credit banners are now clearer, with a red banner when your account has run out of credits and a yellow banner when credits are running low.

• The Locations usage charges page now shows how many locations are included in your plan, making it clearer when additional charges apply.

• The in-app support chat button is no longer hidden behind Shopify's mobile menu bar, so you can reach us from your phone as expected.

• Last-mile providers now only send orders for the locations they are enabled for, allowing multiple providers to be linked to the same store.

Zapiet - Rates by Zipcode

• You can now set up fallback delivery rates for postcodes that do not match any of your delivery zones. When enabled, a fallback rate is returned at checkout instead of the order being blocked.
  You can turn this on in Settings > Fallback rate.

Zapiet - Product Options

• We've made performance improvements across the app, so pages load faster and feel more responsive.

• Input fields on the Create Option page can now be selected and edited as expected.

Improvements

• Choice bundles have landed! You can now build combo-style bundles on the product page, letting customers choose a main item and add sides or drinks from the groups you set up.

• You can now set up Zapiet Eats and explore the app before choosing a subscription plan.

• Restaurant menus can now be reordered directly on the restaurant edit screen, so you can control the order they appear in.

• Multiple discount codes can now be applied to a single order, giving customers more flexibility at checkout.

• When only one delivery method is active, it is now shown directly on the Ordering page to prevent any customer confusion.

• Restaurant import now lists the specific errors that prevented a restaurant from being imported, making problems easier to spot and fix.

Bug fixes

• The setup guide now expands automatically, each step updates as you complete it, the preview link has been fixed, and the flickering text has been resolved for a smoother experience.

• Pickup orders placed through the Ordering page now receive the same order tags as your other orders.

• Updates to bundle add-ons and pricing are now reflected immediately, fixing an issue where changes were not applied.

• Add-on fees on bundles are now calculated correctly in the cart.

• We've fixed an issue where creating a restaurant in countries that do not use provinces failed. Previously the region defaulted to "NY", which prevented the Shopify location from being created.

• Order time attributes now follow your Standards and Formats setting, displaying in the correct 12 or 24 hour format.

• Times on the Ordering page now reflect the correct timezone.

• When a restaurant has multiple menus, the earliest available date is now always selected by default.

• Todays inventory and sound notification settings now appear for stores with only one restaurant, after previously being hidden.

• Connecting an AI agent such as ChatGPT to your Zapiet Eats account now completes correctly.

• During a new install, the app now requests all permissions before your first menu is created.

Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery

• You can now limit the number of characters allowed in pickup, delivery, and shipping notes.

• We've fixed an issue where clicking outside the delivery notes field on POS caused all note fields to disappear. The fields will now remain visible as expected.

• The Checkout Delivery Options widget no longer flickers or reloads when "Allow app to block checkout" is disabled.

Zapiet Eats

• Delivery rates on the Ordering page now update correctly when a free delivery order threshold is reached.

• A visual issue in Restaurant Insights that displayed an unwanted mark above the final value on the Y-axis has been fixed.

• The setup guide now correctly detects active menus and updates progress accordingly.

• Additional item charges in meal deals and bundles are now correctly reflected in the checkout total.

• Merchants using the Ordering page can now create bundles as expected.

• You can now have the first value of a checkbox option preselected by default, so it's already selected when customers open the product.

Zapiet - Product Options

• Shopify Sidekick support has landed! You can now ask Sidekick about your product options directly within Shopify admin. Sidekick can search your option groups and values, surface which options carry an additional charge, and explain the conditional rules set up for a group, so you can find answers without digging through the app.

• Option groups are now referred to consistently as "Groups" throughout the app and in Sidekick replies, replacing the older "Sets" wording for a clearer and more consistent experience.

• The support chat widget now loads on the Create option group and Create option pages, so you can reach us from anywhere in the app.

• Options can now be bulk-added to option groups directly from the Options page.

• The padding has been fixed on the "Select option type" modal when adding new options.

Zapiet - Rates by Distance

• The tooltip for manually setting latitude and longitude in location settings now links to the correct guide.

Zapiet - Rates by Zipcode

• The setup guide now shows the original step-by-step guide alongside a banner for the AI setup wizard, and it reliably appears on every new install and reinstall, picking up exactly where you left off.

• Navigating to any sub-page now keeps the relevant parent item highlighted in the app navigation.

• Pagination is no longer displayed on the Zones and Rates page unless multiple pages of results are available.

Improvements

• Products with limited daily inventory now display a badge to highlight when only a limited quantity is available.

Bug fixes

• Staff without access to all restaurants will now see the correct restaurant labels in the Reports tab.

• We've fixed an issue where product options would be applied to all variants instead of only the selected variant.

• An issue where bundle product checkboxes could not be selected directly has been resolved. Products can now be selected by clicking the checkbox as expected.

Zapiet Eats

• The Rate overrides settings have been moved from the Settings > Widget settings to Settings > Developers.

• We've added multi-currency support to the Ordering page.

• Image thumbnails now load as expected in the product modal on the Ordering page.

• We've fixed an issue where minimum order values were not being enforced for local delivery orders placed through the Ordering page.

• Sections where all products are sold out or unavailable are now hidden on the Ordering page.

Zapiet - Rates by Zipcode

• The Disable rates button is now red, and a confirmation modal now appears when disabling rates to help prevent accidental changes.

• Zip code fields now validate unexpected punctuation and display an error message when invalid characters are entered.

• The mobile UI has been redesigned to improve spacing and layout, making it easier to use.

Zapiet - Rates by Distance

• Warning banners are displayed when merchants approach their maximum usage limits and when those limits have been reached. Once the limit is reached, additional rate calculations will be blocked.
