New name for Store Pickup + Delivery

On Thursday 22nd of December we will be updating the name of Store Pickup + Delivery to meet Shopify's new App Store guidelines. Our new name will be "Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery"

We have some exciting new features, improvements and bug fixes!

New features

We have

  • Added the ability to change the order tags time format—you can now choose between 24-hour or a 12-hour clock.
  • Added the option to add a discount code for delivery and shipping.
  • Made the help articles more accessible within the app—you can now click on the "?" Icon next to the feature, and a help article will open within our chat widget.
  • Added the ability to choose fastest or shortest route when using maximum driving distance for delivery validation.

Improvements

We have

  • Changed the wording of the custom icons in Text and design to "custom buttons". When uploading a custom image, it will replace the whole button, not just the icon.
  • Hidden the Google Maps API key within your delivery validation settings for increased security.
  • Added order links in Google calendar order events.
  • Updated “Filter by region” to “Filter by state/province” which more closely matches its functionality.
  • Added Zapiet.Widget.getCheckoutParams() function to the newest version of the widget.
  • Removed the legacy Sherpa integration.

Bug fixes

We have fixed the bugs where:

  • The negative preparation time was blocking the "Save" button within a location.
  • The store pickup region dropdown was missing after selecting a region where the pickup is not available. Region selection field will now consistently show.
  • The error wasn't showing when you tried to import files other than CSV. We have now improved CSV import validation.
  • The Google calendar "Import orders" function was not working properly. Past orders with future dates should now be importing correctly.
  • The Japanese currency wasn't displaying in our conditional activation feature.
  • The pricing policy was reset if you didn't save it before adding the rates.
  • The "More information" link for your pickup locations would show as "null" in the widget if the "more information" field was empty. We now hide the "More information" link from the widget if the field in the Text and design it empty.
  • The widget would reload for a second when entering a postal code for local delivery—it should now load seamlessly.
  • The error messages in the widget were transferred from one checkout method to the other.
  • The calendar numbers alignment would display differently depending on theme CSS.
  • Where "Select all 20+ orders" was not working for production reports.

We have created an integration with Recharge subscriptions—you can now enable the feature to increment dates on future subscription orders.

This feature is available on the Pro plan or higher with Store Pickup + Delivery.

Hi there,

We now offer the possibility of viewing customer addresses in a map within Store Pickup + Delivery.

When you're viewing an individual order, click View map.

For delivery and shipping orders, we will show the delivery route from your store to the merchant's address.

Hi there,

Improvements

We have:

  • Added the ability to add product specific preparation times by tags.
  • Added the ability to view customer addresses in a map when you're viewing an order.
  • Added the ability to add blackout dates in bulk for multiple locations.
  • Adjusted the time format (AM/PM) to be consistent throughout the app.
  • Removed the ability to add negative rate values, as they are not supported.
  • Added the ability to remove each of the order filters individually.
  • Started firing the "locationSelected" event when a location is selected for delivery or pickup.

Bug fixes

We have fixed the bugs:

  • Where the postal code would appear as "null" for countries not using the postal codes.
  • Where incorrect annual pricing is displayed in the app subscription settings.
  • With incorrect annual subscription date displayed in the app subscription settings.
  • Where clicking the "More information" link in the widget invalidated the date selection.
  • Where the "Problem saving rates" error appeared after enabling delivery rates and selecting "Deliveries are priced the same for all locations".
  • With several broken help article links within the app. All help article links should now be working correctly.
  • Where customer names weren't appearing on some of the orders in the dashboard.
  • With an incorrect error showing when the item got out of stock while already in the cart. You can now edit the wording of this error in Store Pickup + Delivery > Settings > Text and design.
  • With the date filter inconsistencies after refreshing the page. Order date filter is now working as expected.
  • Where you were able to bypass the time selection for pickup in the widget. The date and time selections are now working as expected.

We have:

  • Improved the way we save the country/region codes within locations
  • Improved the UI for the product date restriction feature
  • Added ability to search by customers surname
  • Added es-MX as a language locale option

Bug fixes

We have fixed the bugs:

  • Improved the way we save the country/region codes within locations
  • Where selected orders didn't remain selected when changing pages. Now, orders should stay selected when you switch between order pages.
  • Where changing the country/region field on locations page didn' enable the "Save" button or show appropriate validation.
  • With order exports—orders should be exporting as expected.
  • With specific collections, where only the first 50 products were synchronized. This feature is now working as expected.
  • Where the "X" to clear the search query on the dashboard would appear even if no text was entered.
  • Where province/state was not a required field when saving a location.
  • Where clicking the "Add date" button wasn't triggering the calendar for blackout dates. This button is now working as expected.
  • Where the "Save" button was hidden behind the chat icon when filtering orders.
  • Where using specific days and pickup limits per slot, the calendar was showing all days as available.
  • Where dashboard filters stopped working when orders were marked as "Ready for pickup".
  • With draft orders showing the "older than 60 days" error.

Restricting Orders On Shopify POS

Hi there,

You can now restrict order access on Shopify POS depending on the location.

When you enable the feature, your staff members will only be able to view and manage orders for their location, by clicking the View pickup and delivery orders tile within their Shopify POS.

This feature is available on our Pro and Enterprise plans.

Hi there,

You can now delete orders from Store Pickup + Delivery!

Selected orders will be removed from your Store Pickup + Delivery dashboard, but they will not be removed within Shopify.
