Time for some Zapiet - Rates by Distance news! 📰

We have:

  • Increased performance when generating rates, meaning rates will generate faster.
  • Translated the admin pages to multiple additional languages. We now support Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and Swedish.
  • Added support for Guernsey delivery addresses.
  • Limited the company name field to 191 characters.
  • Added support for emojis in the company name field for delivery addresses.

We've been fine-tuning based on your feedback to bring you an even better Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery experience! Check out what's new 🚀👇

We have:

  • Added the option to increase the number of locations shown per page in the admin. You can now select between 10, 25 and 50.
  • Improved the article links in the setup guide.
  • Added the ability to add the day of the week tag to your orders.
  • Improved translations in other languages.
  • Added an API method to prefill and validate the delivery postcode (without address autocompletion).
  • Added an API method to select a desired delivery option.
  • Added the link to sign up for Stuart last-mile delivery service if you don’t already have an account.

We have fixed the bugs:

  • Where the settings page would open at the incorrect section, if you previously visited specific settings and scrolled to the bottom of the page. The settings page should always open correctly at the top now.
  • With Roadie V2 settings, where they weren’t saved correctly. You can now save the settings as expected.
  • In the new order template, where the discount code was showing incorrectly. This has now been fixed.
  • With the Zapiet.hide() function, where if the selected delivery option was hidden, the newly selected one didn’t trigger the selected_method event. The newly selected method should now be showing correctly.

Hi there,

It's update time. 🎉 Check out the enhancements and fixes we've made to make your Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery journey even better!

We have:

  • Fixed the bugs where the dates for date restricted products were showing incorrectly in the widget, when you added the same dates as blackout dates for shipping. Date restricted products will now show correctly in the widget.
  • Improved our saving process, to help with intermittent issues related to products and collections not being saved.

We have fixed the bugs with the checkout extension widget:

  • Where the pickup and delivery locations weren't loading. They are now loading as expected.
  • With the _ZapietId replacing the native Shopify product line item property at checkout.
  • Where only 50 locations could show in the list. We have now increased that to 300 locations, and will be working on improving that to support unlimited locations.
  • Where if future orders restriction was set to 0, no dates would appear. You can now add any value to the future orders feature, and it will be working as expected.

Take a look at our newest updates!

We have fixed the bugs:

  • In our widget on Dawn and Story themes, where additional spacing was added between locations and the date picker when the pickup map was enabled. We have now removed this extra space, and the widget should look as expected.
  • With adding bulk blackout dates, where selecting all of your locations wasn't working correctly. You can now select all locations and add your blackout dates in bulk, as expected.

Hi there,

We're thrilled to share the newest improvements and fixes to make your Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery journey even better! 🥳

We have:

  • Added support for emojis! 💃 Your customers should now be able to add emojis into the order's notes field and the order will be correctly processed.
  • Improved fallback rates to ensure only enabled delivery options and locations are available for selection.
  • Added a banner for each delivery option to inform merchants if the delivery option is disabled and advise to enable.
  • Added a banner to our specific products, date restricted products and product-specific preparation time to notify you that you can only add 200 products at a time.
  • Improved the rates setup wizard and the stability of creating rates.
  • Increased the number of zones we can import per delivery profile to 12, and the number of rates within each zone to 16. We'll be working on improving the experience for stores with more zones and rates.
  • Updated the checkout locales to better support one-page checkout.
  • Added support for 6-character long region codes, such as PE-ARE (Arequipa) in Peru.
  • Added support for emojis in the delivery note field.

We have fixed the bugs:

  • Where blackout dates and specific dates of the year were not showing correctly in the widget in some cases. This is now working as expected.
  • Where rates didn't always update or get created within Shopify.
  • Where the draft orders list and and view order page were not loading correctly on POS on iOS 17. The orders should now be loading correctly.
  • Related to blackout dates and specific dates of the year, where they were sometimes causing issues in the widget calendar. This is now working correctly.
  • Where saving a location with specific product availability would sometimes time out and products would be lost. Saving specific products is now working as expected.
  • Where reaching a pickup or delivery slot limit didn't block that slot from the widget. Pickup and delivery slots will now be correctly blocked when the limit is reached.
  • With product availability by specific tags where unavailable products were sometimes available. This is now working as expected.
  • Where if the customer would get a 100% discount in the checkout, and returned back to cart, they would not be able to proceed to checkout again as their post-discount cart value was 0. We now read the original cart value if the customer returns to the cart and your customers will be able to check out as expected.
  • Where if the date-restricted product was disabled on dates within the future order restriction, the browser would freeze. The widget calendar is now working as expected.
  • With the pickup map in the widget, where if you selected a location on the second page (and onwards), the pickup map didn't update. All locations are now loading correctly on the map.

We have:

  • Made sure that the language locales, that we use to change wording for different delivery options at checkout, are added to your theme when you enable the widget through the setup guide.
  • Improved the Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates setup guide to hide the delivery options you have disabled in the settings.
  • Moved Onfleet integration into the Fleet management section, and the Orkestro integration into the Last Mile Delivery section, within settings.
  • Improved the wording within the app.
  • Added a button to the Onfleet integration, so you can easily sign up and create an account before activating the integration.

We have fixed the bugs:

  • With Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates, where all location-based rates were deleted, when you deleted one. Location-based rates deletion is now working as expected.
  • Where the Delivery note field was missing in French and German templates within the Text and Design settings. You can now see and edit the Delivery note field.
  • With inconsistent padding on certain messages within the widget on specific themes. This has now been fixed.
  • With the calendar date selection icons overlapping on certain themes. This is now working as expected.

We have:

  • Added the ability to disable pickup and delivery rates entirely, in case you are using another app to generate those rates.
  • Updated our delivery customizations. Rather than having two delivery customizations in Shopify shipping settings, we now only have a single customization. You will need to disable and enable rates to see this in action.
  • Improved our Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates to make sure they work with multiple shipping profiles.
  • Added the option to select pickup, delivery or shipping rate as fallback rates for Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates.
  • Improved product-specific preparation time—you can now set it for product date restrictions.
  • Added more links to our help articles within the app admin.
  • Re-published our integration with Doordash Drive as a Last Mile Delivery partner.
  • Added support for Google address autocomplete in the delivery validator widget.

We have fixed the bugs:

  • With the widget disappearing on mobile on the Warehouse theme. The widget is now working as expected.
  • Where changing or deleting rates wasn’t always correctly updated in the settings. Rates are now saved correctly in the settings and synced with Shopify.
  • With Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery rates, where adding a quotation mark to the name of the rate would cause an error. You can now use quotation marks in the rate name as expected.
  • With incorrect wording within the admin of the app.
  • Where the locations within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery weren't correctly synchronized with locations within the Last Mile Delivery carrier pages. You should now see the same locations on both pages.
  • With the POS tiles loading—all POS functionalities should now be working as expected.
