We've given Zapiet - Rates by Distance a boost to improve rates performance and stability.
Your Zapiet - Rates by Distance admin experience should now feel better and closer to Shopify. We updated colors, icons, and the design to match what you're used to seeing on your store admin pages, along with a few usability tweaks.
We enjoyed working on this update, and we hope you'll feel the same way when using it!
We've given Zapiet - Rates by Zip Code a boost with a better rates system to improve performance and stability.
You can now turn on the integration for both local delivery and shipping in Settings > Advanced > Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery—making rate management even simpler!
The issue where the ‘More Information’ tab on the widget was showing pickup times set in the app instead of your actual business hours has been fixed. Now, the correct business hours are displayed, giving your customers the right information.
Previously, countries without specific regions (like Macao) would show "null" in the widget. Now, if a country doesn’t have any regions, the region field simply won’t appear. For example, while Hong Kong has regions like Kowloon, Macao does not, and this fix ensures everything displays smoothly.
An issue where fulfilling an order in Shopify and then marking it as "Ready for pickup" or "Ready for shipping" in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery would cancel the fulfillment in Shopify has been fixed. Now, everything works seamlessly, and your fulfillment stays intact when you update the order status!
We’ve squashed the bug that prevented the undo order status change feature from working on completed pickup orders. You can now undo order status changes as expected!
If a pickup location wasn't preselected and the user clicked directly on the radio button without selecting a date, the error message incorrectly prompted "Please select a location" instead of "Please select a date and time for pickup". This issue has been resolved, and the error message now correctly updates regardless of where the location is selected.
Previously, if a customer added both a physical and a digital product to the cart, filled in the widget details, and then removed the physical product (which caused the widget to be hidden), the attributes remained even after proceeding to checkout and returning to the cart. This issue has been fixed, and cart attributes are now properly cleared when the widget is hidden.
We have made our app even better with new features and bug fixes! 🚀
Improvements
We introduced a highly requested feature— the ability to undo the status of an order! If you accidentally change an order status or need to revert it, you can now undo the status update.
The Recharge integration for combined orders has been significantly improved. Read more in our Recharge article.
Our app now seamlessly supports the following Shopify themes out of the box: Dawn, Frame, Roam, Local, Canopy, and Fetch.
Checkout extension
We have added support for Google Maps, allowing you to quickly find pickup locations in our checkout widget.
We've also squashed some bugs! 🐛
Previously, when the cart contained a product that hides the shipping widget and a regular product that allows shipping, removing the first product from the cart caused the widget to malfunction. This issue has now been resolved.
We fixed the issue where the Shopify Flow workflows failed to activate when Zapiet triggers were used. Shopify Flow now works as expected.
If custom pickup slots were used alongside product date restrictions, the first available day didn’t show all available pickup slots. Our team has resolved this issue.
We also addressed the problem where preparation time was not calculated correctly for custom pickup slots if the store was located outside of the GMT time zone.
In the past, 11:45 PM was the latest time merchants could set as their closing hour. We have fixed this, and stores can now be configured with 12:00 AM as their closing time.
Previously, if the general conditional activation was paired with the option to hide the widget, the widget was hidden even when the general conditions were not met. This has been fixed, and the widget is now hidden only if conditional activation by product type, vendor, collection, and tag is enabled.
We adjusted the character limit for location-based rates to match Shopify's. This resolves an issue where location-based rates with long names weren’t being created in Shopify.
Previously, when shipping was selected in our checkout widget, the text for the date picker placeholder field was showing twice. The issue has been resolved by our team.
Zapiet - Rates by Distance
We have improved the design of the "Route and address provider" section on the Settings page, which now links to our help center.
Previously, if you added a message that exceeded the character limit in the large text field, there was no way to add the item to the cart and check if your message fit within the character limits. Now, we validate the character count as you type.
The "Edit options in cart" feature is now seamlessly integrated with Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.
Conditional activation works as expected when editing options in the cart.
We've added a pop-up to confirm a CSS reset, ensuring that CSS isn't reset by mistake.
Previously, the "Buy Now" button on product pages allowed customers to bypass our options. We've resolved this issue by hiding the "Buy Now" button.
The design of the color selector for swatches was changed from a modal to a pop-up.
Previously, only grey or black could be added as swatch colors. Now, you can select any color or enter the hex code.
We’ve added the ability to enable or disable options directly from the options list.
Dashboard graphs are now correctly updated after placing orders.
We fixed an issue in our checkout widget where an error message was displayed for local delivery before the zip code was entered.
An issue in the order processing system caused delays in tagging orders, sending notifications, and fulfilling orders in Shopify. This has now been resolved, and orders are being processed without delay.
In our checkout widget, the geographical search feature for pickup previously required two attempts for validation to work. This issue has been resolved, and validation now works on the first try.
The issue where our checkout widget was duplicated when the cart contained a subscription and a non-subscription product has been fixed. Now, there is only one instance of the checkout widget, regardless of the cart contents.
Our Carrier Service API version of the rates experienced an issue where no shipping rates could be added. Our developers have resolved this issue.
