We have added the option to include a delivery note directly in the widget! 🎉

The note can be optional or required, and shows as an order attribute in the Shopify order view.

We have added exciting new improvements and bug fixes!

Improvements

We have:

  • Added the option to include a delivery note directly in the widget. The note can be optional or required, and shows as an order attribute in the Shopify order view.
  • Created an integration with Shopify Flow—you can now use created and updated pickup, delivery and shipping orders as triggers.
  • Added the option to set shorter product-specific preparation times. Previously, product-specific preparation times needed to be longer than your general ones.
  • Made some improvements to the text sizes and modals within the app.
  • Added a button to select all of your locations in Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery. Previously you were able to select only 10 at a time.
  • Added the ability to validate the postal code or address for delivery by clicking anywhere on the screen, in order to improve customer experience.
  • Adjusted the wording on our Rates page to match the new Shopify requirements regarding the Carrier Service API (Carrier-calculated shipping).

Bug fixes

Fixed the bugs where:

  • When exporting locations, one location always had a region in New York, regardless of the country. Regions in export files are now showing as expected.
  • Incorrect time slots were appearing in the widget when using preparation time for date restricted products. Now, the time slots are showing correctly.
  • The wrong error message would show and the checkout button would be locked if you tried to check out before the widget finished loading. We now lock the checkout button until the widget has loaded.
  • Locations could be saved with duplicate delivery slots. We now remove the duplicate slots when the location is saved.
  • For shipping product date restrictions, the deleted dates were still showing in the calendar. This is now working as expected.
  • The same-day pickup slots were showing incorrectly. They are now showing as set up in the settings.
  • The deactivated Shopify locations were listed in our Shopify inventory integration. Now, deactivated Shopify locations are not showing on the list.
  • The order status marking wasn't working correctly when all orders were selected. You can now select all orders and change the status as expected.

We have added some new improvements and bug fixes!

Improvements

We have:

  • Improved "AM/PM" display consistency throughout the app
  • Added the live theme as the first one on the list in Settings > Themes, and changed the "live" theme banner to green

Bug fixes

We have fixed the bugs where:

  • The page to edit delivery rates per location would incorrectly open—you can edit delivery rates per location as expected now.
  • The date would display incorrectly in internal new and updated order notifications. The date is now displaying correctly.
  • The indicator would reset to the end of the text when you typed a letter in Text and design field. This is now working as expected.

Ability to add delivery and shipping discount codes

Hi there,

You can now add delivery and/or shipping discount code within Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery.

Discount codes you add will be automatically applied to all of your delivery and/or shipping orders.

We have upgraded Polaris to the latest version, in order to improve your experience on mobile displays.

Our "bulk actions" view has changed, and now matches the Shopify one. You should see changes when selecting your orders and locations.

On Thursday 22nd of December we will be updating the name of Store Pickup + Delivery to meet Shopify's new App Store guidelines. Our new name will be "Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery"

We have some exciting new features, improvements and bug fixes!

New features

We have

  • Added the ability to change the order tags time format—you can now choose between 24-hour or a 12-hour clock.
  • Added the option to add a discount code for delivery and shipping.
  • Made the help articles more accessible within the app—you can now click on the "?" Icon next to the feature, and a help article will open within our chat widget.
  • Added the ability to choose fastest or shortest route when using maximum driving distance for delivery validation.

Improvements

We have

  • Changed the wording of the custom icons in Text and design to "custom buttons". When uploading a custom image, it will replace the whole button, not just the icon.
  • Hidden the Google Maps API key within your delivery validation settings for increased security.
  • Added order links in Google calendar order events.
  • Updated “Filter by region” to “Filter by state/province” which more closely matches its functionality.
  • Added Zapiet.Widget.getCheckoutParams() function to the newest version of the widget.
  • Removed the legacy Sherpa integration.

Bug fixes

We have fixed the bugs where:

  • The negative preparation time was blocking the "Save" button within a location.
  • The store pickup region dropdown was missing after selecting a region where the pickup is not available. Region selection field will now consistently show.
  • The error wasn't showing when you tried to import files other than CSV. We have now improved CSV import validation.
  • The Google calendar "Import orders" function was not working properly. Past orders with future dates should now be importing correctly.
  • The Japanese currency wasn't displaying in our conditional activation feature.
  • The pricing policy was reset if you didn't save it before adding the rates.
  • The "More information" link for your pickup locations would show as "null" in the widget if the "more information" field was empty. We now hide the "More information" link from the widget if the field in the Text and design it empty.
  • The widget would reload for a second when entering a postal code for local delivery—it should now load seamlessly.
  • The error messages in the widget were transferred from one checkout method to the other.
  • The calendar numbers alignment would display differently depending on theme CSS.
  • Where "Select all 20+ orders" was not working for production reports.

We now offer the possibility of viewing customer addresses in a map within Store Pickup + Delivery.

When you're viewing an individual order, click View map.

For delivery and shipping orders, we will show the delivery route from your store to the merchant's address.
