POS improvements, subscription pausing, Widget API improvements and general bug fixes

Improvements

  • Our POS app just got an exciting upgrade—a QR code scanner! This new feature simplifies managing pickup orders. Scan the QR code to quickly mark orders as picked up and keep everything running smoothly. Give it a try!
  • Previously, when viewing orders on our POS app you could not differentiate between pickup, delivery, and shipping orders. We have now added badges to make this distinction easier.
  • No more uninstalling and reinstalling. If you’re a seasonal business or going on a holiday, you can now pause your Zapiet - Pickup + Delivery subscription!
  • Our Widget API has been significantly improved! It now includes discount codes, delivery notes, address prepopulation, and much more. Explore all the updates in our improved Widget API documentation.
  • We've added a note to the Themes and Checkout pages to clarify that not all themes support displaying our widget in the drawer cart.

We've also squashed some bugs! 🐛

  • Our checkout widget experienced an issue if the locations had product availability set by tags, vendors, or product types. The issue is resolved and the checkout widget now supports all of the product availability methods.
  • We discovered a bug with our rate feature that caused local delivery rates to disappear from Shopify when local delivery was disabled at a location. Additionally, if a location with both store pickup and local delivery enabled was removed, all rates were removed from Shopify. Our developers identified the issue and have successfully fixed it!
  • When duplicating the location, there was a bug that prevented custom pickup slots from being copied to a duplicate location. The issue is now resolved.
  • Previously, when using product availability by tag, collection, type or vendor the wrong error message was shown for unavailable products on the widget. The issue is now resolved and the correct error message now appears if unavailable products are added to the cart.
  • If you were using our Payment Methods feature and downgraded to the Advanced or Essential plan, the payment method still appeared as active even though it wasn’t functional. We've fixed the issue, and payment methods will now only show if you're on the Pro plan, as expected.
  • When restoring attributes from ZapietId, the time attribute was previously restored in the 24-hour format only. This caused issues for merchants using the 12-hour format, such as missing tags and the time not appearing on the order dashboard. We’ve resolved this, and attributes can now be restored as expected in both 24-hour and 12-hour formats.
