Improvements

• We're happy to share that you can now use postal code ranges when setting up your zones. Enter a start and end code separated by a colon, for example 10000:10500, and the zone covers everything in between instead of you listing each code by hand. This is the quickest way to build a zone that spans a large contiguous area. You can read more about it in our Creating a delivery zone article.

• We've also released postal code exclusions, which pair nicely with ranges. Each zone can hold its own list of excluded postal codes alongside the postal codes, wildcards and ranges it already covers, so if there are a few codes inside a range or a partial code match that you don't serve, add them to the exclusion list rather than breaking the range into smaller pieces. An excluded code can still be served from a different zone, so you can price those spots separately if you do deliver there.

• The create and edit zone page has been redesigned. A coverage summary beneath the postal code fields updates as you type so you can see exactly what your zone covers, ranges are visually highlighted so they stand out from single codes, and validation messages now point to the specific entry that needs attention.

Bug fixes

• On stores whose primary language is not English, opening an existing rate for editing showed an empty rate name field. This has been resolved and the rate names are now stored against your store's primary language, existing rates display correctly, and any rate that cannot be saved now returns a clear error message.

• Fallback rates are now returned for postal codes that fall outside all of your zones, fixing an issue where no rate was shown at all.

The AI setup wizard is available again, so you can set up your rates by describing what you need rather than configuring everything by hand.

Zapiet - Product Options

• The AI setup wizard now supports the Buttons option type, so you can ask it to build button based options complete with single or multiple selection, minimum and maximum selection limits, and per value charges.

• Conditional activation rules created through the AI setup wizard are now applied immediately, fixing an issue where they only took effect after the options page was saved again.
